Destruction of Jannat ul Baqi Day was observed globally against the demolition of holy shrines on the sacred land of Hijaz and demanded the United Nations and OIC to reconstruct holy shrines of Jannat-ul-Baqi and Jannat-ul-Mualla.
According to the report, on the call of Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya chief Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi mourning protest rallies were organized in all continents and countries, including Pakistan in which millions of followers of Islam participated.
The resolutions passed in the protests said the Muslim holy places of Jannat-ul-Baqi and Jannat-ul-Mualla have been demolished for hundred years and now only 5 per cent of Islamic relics remain in Saudi Arabia.
The resolutions called on international peacekeepers, Western governments and archaeological organizations to break their silence on the continued destruction of Muslim religious sites and play their part in restoring the heritage.
The resolutions call for international forces to force the Saudi government to rebuild the shrines in accordance with the resolution adopted in the 75th session of the United Nations on January 21, 2021, “Promoting a culture of peace and tolerance for the protection of religious places.” or allow Muslims and lovers of the Prophet and the Ahel al-Bait to perform this duty.
The resolutions expressed grave concern over the actions of Zionist extremists who repeatedly desecrated the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the threat to Islamic rites in occupied Kashmir and other Indian states. In the resolutions, the wave of Islamophobia in Western countries, including insults to the Holy Prophet in the Netherlands, and blasphemy of the Quran in Sweden, has been described as a threat to world peace. And expressed solidarity with the victims of Kashmir and Palestine, East Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Nigeria.
The resolutions strongly condemned the terrorist attacks on the security forces and the people and expressed full solidarity with the Pakistani forces. The Kocha Risaldar tragedy and the Karachi terrorism were condemned. The resolution demanded that those responsible for all terrorist tragedies be brought to justice. National Action Plan must be implemented unconditionally.
Another resolution strongly condemned the abuses against Shiites, the abolition of the discriminatory Single National Curriculum (SNC), legislation against personal law and the ban on mourning for the martyrs of Imam Hussein (a) and the illegal cases against mourners. The government of Pakistan was demanded to give equal religious rights to the Shiites of Pakistan.
Protests were held in press clubs and public places in all the small and big cities, towns and villages of Pakistan. Practically manifesting their devotion to the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his progeny), Ahle Bait e Athaar and Sahaba Ikram (RA), the protesters demanded the reconstruction of holy shrines of the daughter of the Prophet, the Lady of Paradise, Hazrat Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her), the Ahle e Bait, the mothers of the believers Hazrat Khadija Tul Kubra, Hazrat Ayesha, Hazrat Hafsa, Hazrat Uthman, Chief of Paradise Imam Hassan (a), Imam Zain ul Abideen (a), Imam Muhammad Baqir (a) and Imam Jafar e Sadiq (a). On this occasion, a strong protest was raised against the desecration of Islamic rites (sha’a’ir) in Western countries and India.
Addressing the mourning protest at the Shia Headquarters, Quaid-e-Millat Jafaria Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that the hearts of the Muslims are mangled by the destruction of the shrines of Ahlul Bayt, Sahaba and Ummahat-ul-Momineen. There is no connection between Islam and extremism. It has come to light that Western funding and backing have fueled and fostered extremism and bigotry. The wave of intolerance caused by the destruction of Muslim religious rites has caused bloodshed all over the world. How sad that the palaces of the kings are being preserved as World Heritage Sites while the traces of the beloved of the real king of Madinah, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his progeny) have been erased thus, a picture of despair has been created.
